Posted - 09/25/2009 : 15:31:54 List of Run Commands Windows has a lot of useful commands from Run menu. Click on Start button and choose Run. Run commands allows run applications by typing their name instead of click on an icon.

command line %comspec%
installation disk %homedrive%
user profile directory (documents and settings\%username%) %homepath%
system default directories %path%
program files directory %programfiles%
drive containing the windows root directory %systemdrive%
windows directory %systemroot%
temporary directory, usually c:\documents and settings\%username%\local settings\temp %temp% or %tmp%
